Der "Inevitable Excess"-DLC wird die Spieler auf neue Abenteuer mitnehmen, die kurz vor dem Moment ihres größten Triumphes warten: dem Sieg über die Weltenwunde. Die Spieler verlassen Golarion und setzen beispiellose mythische Kräfte ein, um das Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum gegen den drohenden Kollaps zu verteidigen… Der DLC wird sowohl als Teil des Season Pass als auch separat in den großen digitalen Stores erhältlich sein.
Darüber hinaus möchte das Studio ein wichtiges Update bekannt geben. Das Veröffentlichungsdatum für Konsolen wurde auf Herbst 2022 verschoben. Ursprünglich war die Veröffentlichung für das Frühjahr geplant. Das Team hat jedoch die schwierige Entscheidung getroffen, das Erscheinungsdatum zu verschieben, um das beste Spielerlebnis auf der Konsole bieten zu können – und um alle verbleibenden Probleme der PC-Version zu beheben.
Ab heute – bis Anfang Februar 2022 – nimmt das Hauptspiel am "Lunar New Year Sale" mit einem Rabatt von 20% auf Steam, GOG und dem Epic Games Store teil. Zusätzlich wird das Spiel von einem neuen kostenlosen DLC begleitet, der ein neues Haustier enthält – einen kleinen souveränen Drachen aus Tian Xia, der den Spielern helfen wird, alle Wissens- und Fertigkeitsprüfungen zu bestehen.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous ist ab sofort in allen großen digitalen Shops erhältlich, darunter Steam, Epic Games Store und GOG. Es wird auch auf Konsolen für PlayStation 4 und Xbox One im Frühherbst dieses Jahres erhältlich sein. Prime Matter, das Premium-Gaming-Label von Koch Media, wird die physischen Konsolenexemplare vertreiben.
